Thank you for using Yaraku Translate.
Generative AI technology continues to evolve rapidly, bringing ongoing improvements in the performance and range of models available for translation.
At Yaraku, we carefully evaluate new models based on translation quality, processing efficiency, and usability within Yaraku Translate before introducing them.
As part of our ongoing efforts to provide a smoother, higher-quality translation experience, we will upgrade the available GPT models and make Yaraku Engine V5 the default translation engine.
Change date:
Sep 2, 2026 (Wed),(JST)
*There will be no downtime due to this update.
GPT models have been upgraded
The GPT models available in Yaraku Translate will be upgraded as follows:
- GPT-5.4 → GPT-5.6 Terra
- GPT-5.4 mini → GPT-5.6 Luna
GPT-5.6 Terra offers enhanced instruction-following and stronger contextual understanding, making it well suited for translating complex and long-form content. GPT-5.6 Luna is optimized for speed and cost efficiency, making it ideal for everyday translation tasks and high-volume text processing. Choose the model that best fits your translation needs.

Yaraku Engine V5 Becomes the Default Engine
The default machine translation engine in Yaraku Translate will be changed to the generative AI-powered Yaraku Engine V5. Its improved adaptation feature uses registered translation examples while considering differences in context and meaning. Context processing and style control have also been optimized, making it easier to produce consistent translations across a document and follow the specified writing style.
For more information about its features and evaluation results, please see the previous release notes.
We will continue improving Yaraku Translate to provide an easier-to-use and higher-quality translation experience.
We hope you will make the most of the updated Yaraku Translate.
